Content and Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 25, 2026
This policy applies to profiles, posts, comments, messages, links, previews, membership benefits, product listings, downloadable files, and any other material offered through INDIEARTMARK.
Creator responsibility
Creators are responsible for everything they publish or sell. Content must be accurately described, lawful where it is offered, and owned by the creator or used with documented permission. An invitation or prior review does not transfer that responsibility to INDIEARTMARK.
Artistic adult content and 18+ classification
Artistic adult content is allowed on INDIEARTMARK. Lawful artwork that depicts nudity, sexuality, or mature themes may be hosted when it has genuine artistic, literary, educational, or expressive context, is accurately labeled, and the entire storefront is classified as 18+ before publication.
An 18+ classification is a discovery and access label, not payment approval. Visitors must acknowledge the age gate before entering. Safe Mode hides 18+ storefronts and their posts from Discover and Feed.
Storefront avatars, covers, excerpts, thumbnails, product covers, and other public previews must be suitable for a general audience. They may describe mature material but may not display nudity or sexually explicit imagery; creators should use a non-explicit crop, purpose-made cover, or sufficiently blurred preview.
INDIEARTMARK does not permit sexual services, adult live chat, trafficking or exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, or illegal sexual content. Content involving real people must be consensual, lawful, and supported by age and consent records when requested. Any sexualized depiction of a minor or apparent minor is prohibited without exception.
Hosting permission is separate from commerce. A post may be permitted to remain hosted while checkout, memberships, tips, commissions, or downloads for that material are unavailable. Every paid offering must independently comply with the payment rules below and the current rules of Stripe and other applicable payment partners.
Illegal, exploitative, or dangerous material
- Any live sexual or exploitative content involving minors, including AI-generated content that are depictions of minors.
- Live non-consensual intimate material, sexual exploitation, trafficking, or instructions facilitating abuse that involve actual human beings.
- Illegal goods or services; controlled substances; weapons; instructions intended to facilitate violent wrongdoing; or stolen goods, credentials, or data.
- Violent extremist content or content that engages in, encourages, promotes, praises, or celebrates unlawful violence or targeted physical harm.
- Doxxing or publication of private identifying information without authorization.
Apparent child exploitation or another imminent threat may be reported to the appropriate authorities. This does not include things that users may find uncomfortable or distasteful.
Intellectual property and authenticity
- No copyright or trademark infringement, counterfeit goods, impersonation, or unauthorized resale of another person's work.
- No misleading authorship, fabricated licenses, or removal of ownership notices intended to deceive a buyer.
- AI-assisted or AI-generated work that violates another person's rights or misrepresent a real person, creator, or brand is a violation and offenders will be banned.
Rights holders can use our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy to request review.
Harassment, hate, and deceptive behavior
- No targeted harassment, stalking, credible threats, bullying, or coordinated abuse.
- No hate speech or content that dehumanizes, threatens, or encourages discrimination or violence based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or another protected or immutable characteristic.
- No fraud, phishing, malware, spam, fake storefronts, fake engagement, payment manipulation, or deceptive product descriptions.
Prohibited payments and commerce
Every payment must purchase a clearly identified membership tier or digital product. INDIEARTMARK does not permit anonymous donations, peer-to-peer money transfers, tips without an associated content offering, cash equivalents, gambling, financial services, cryptocurrency sales, or any product or service prohibited by Stripe.
An 18+ label does not guarantee monetization until the offering is payment-eligible and compliant with Stripe. Live pornography or mature-audience content designed for sexual gratification, adult services, and other businesses prohibited by Stripe may not be sold, commissioned, tipped, or placed behind a paid membership through Stripe on INDIEARTMARK. INDIEARTMARK may also allow lawful artistic material to be hosted while disabling all payments. For example, Stripe may not cover a user's country, but they can be hosted on INDIEARTMARK.
Creators may not use product titles, metadata, private messages, external links, or misleading descriptions to conceal what a payment is actually for.
Reporting, review, and enforcement
Signed-in users can use available Report controls. Anyone may email support@indieartmark.com with the page URL, creator name, a description of the concern, and supporting information.
INDIEARTMARK may review reported material, request proof of ownership or authorization, remove content, unpublish products, disable checkout, suspend a storefront, or ban an account. Serious or repeated violations may be acted on immediately. Stripe may separately restrict payments or payouts under its own rules.
See the Creator Agreement and Terms of Service for related account and payment terms.
