Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to have an account, buy anything, or sell anything here. You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email secure — sign-in links go there.

Supporter accounts are open to anyone. Creator storefronts are by invitation: we add creators from the back end, and only an invited creator can claim a storefront.

Creators set their own membership tiers and product prices. A membership renews on the interval you chose — monthly or yearly — until you cancel it, and cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding the period you are already in.

Digital products are one-time purchases delivered through secure download links tied to your account. Because digital goods are delivered immediately, purchases are generally final. If something is broken, misdescribed, or never delivered, contact the creator first; if that goes nowhere, contact us and we will step in.

When a creator issues a full product refund, the payment is returned through Stripe and the supporter's download access ends. INDIEARTMARK reverses its application fee on the refunded amount.

Access to gated posts lasts as long as your membership does. If a creator leaves the platform or stops posting, we cannot force them to keep publishing, but we will help you cancel and, where appropriate, refund a renewal you did not get value from.

INDIEARTMARK charges creators a flat 10% of what they earn on the platform. That is our entire business model — no listing fees, no promotion fees, no charge to supporters on top of the price they see.

Stripe separately deducts the processing fees applicable to the connected account and transaction. Those fees go to Stripe, not to us, and are governed by Stripe's current pricing and agreements.

Payments are direct charges through each creator's own connected Stripe account. Creators have access to the full Stripe Dashboard, and we do not hold creator balances. Payout timing, verification requirements, and tax documentation are governed by Stripe's agreements with that creator. Payments and payouts remain subject to Stripe's account status and requirements.

Creators keep ownership of everything they upload. By publishing here you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display that work so the site can function and so we can show previews and thumbnails where you have made them public. That licence ends when you remove the work, except for copies kept in routine backups.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you publish and sell. Do not upload work you did not make or licence, and do not sell someone else's files. We respond to credible copyright complaints and will remove infringing material.

We are a marketplace for artists, and art is allowed to be difficult, political, sexual, angry, or strange. We do not quietly suppress work because a subject is uncomfortable or inconvenient. What we will not host is conduct that makes the space unusable for the people in it. The following will get an account removed:

• Illegal activity of any kind, including fraud, laundering payments, selling stolen goods or credentials, and any sexual content involving minors — which we report, without exception.
• Real-life pornography. Explicit photographic or filmed sexual content featuring real people is not permitted on this platform.
• Doxxing. Publishing someone's address, phone number, workplace, documents, or other private identifying information — or coordinating others to find it.
• Bullying and harassment. We have an anti-bullying policy and we enforce it. Pile-ons, targeted abuse, stalking a creator or supporter across the site, and threats are all grounds for removal.
• Hate content. Work whose purpose is to demean people for being gay, trans, a woman, or a man — homophobic, transphobic, misogynist, or misandrist content — is not welcome here. Depicting bigotry in a story is not the same thing as being its megaphone, and we judge the difference in good faith.
• Spam and deception. Fake storefronts, impersonating another creator, manipulating payments or reviews, or scraping the site.

Basic etiquette covers the rest: be a person, argue about the work and not the artist, and leave people alone when they ask.

Users can mute, block, and report other accounts. Creators can remove comments from their own discussions and block an account from commenting on or following their storefront. These personal controls do not prevent an administrator from reviewing activity needed to investigate abuse or enforce these terms.

We can suspend or ban an account that breaks these rules. For serious violations — illegal content, doxxing, targeted harassment — removal is immediate and permanent, and pending payouts for fraudulent activity may be withheld. For everything else we will usually warn first and explain what needs to change.

If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, reply to the notice and a human will look at it again.

You can close your account at any time. Closing a creator account removes the storefront and its published work from public view; purchase and payout records are retained where we are legally required to keep them. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising against your work.

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Disputes between a supporter and a creator are, in the first instance, between them; we will help where we reasonably can.

We may update these terms as the platform changes. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect, and continuing to use INDIEARTMARK after that means you accept the updated terms.
